Run Your Bridal Shop Like a Multi-Million Dollar CEO Using AI in These 5 Ways
Sep 15, 2026
This year we sat down with our BOSS members to teach a full class on AI, not because it's trendy, but because the gap between shops that scale past a million and shops that stall below it usually isn't talent. It's what the owner spends her attention on. Here are five ways I actually use AI in my own bridal shop, and five ways I'm teaching our members to use it too.
1. Train it on your brand voice once, and stop starting over every time
Most owners who try AI and give up do it because the first response sounded generic. That's not a limitation of the tool, it's a training problem. I gave ChatGPT and Claude thirteen interview questions about my shop: my mission, my tone, my target bride, my values, even what I want a customer to feel walking in the door. Then I pasted in years of my actual Google review responses so it could learn how I really talk. That took one afternoon. Now, when a new review comes in, my virtual assistant, pastes it into a chat that already sounds like me, copies the response, and posts it.
2. Hand it your numbers the way you'd hand them to a CFO
A multi-million dollar CEO doesn't eyeball her P&L and hope. I feed ChatGPT and Claude three years of budgets and ask what trends I might be missing between years. I've asked it to check my compensation structure against national retail averages for the same roles, and found out one of my positions was already paid 143 percent above market, which changed how I approached a raise conversation. I've also asked it to flag which months in my retail calendar have five Saturdays instead of four, since that affects staffing and sales projections in a way the standard calendar doesn't show you. None of this requires a finance degree. It requires asking better questions.
3. Let it write your hardest conversations, not just your captions
This is the one that surprised our members most. One of our owners had to close her alterations department this year, a financially necessary but emotionally difficult decision involving seamstresses she'd worked with for years. On our live call, we gave ChatGPT and Claude the entire situation: the history, the financial reality, the timeline, and what she wanted for her team afterward. Within minutes she had a full thirty-minute meeting agenda and the actual words to say to her staff. She read it almost exactly as written. The goal wasn't to remove her voice from the moment, it was to remove the risk of misspeaking under pressure during one of the hardest conversations of her year.
4. Build a month of content in under an hour
In November of last year, my team and I asked AI for thirty reasons a bride would need a bridal coach, based on our store's basics: dressing rooms, average income, location, and the problems we see most. We refined the list together, ordered it for the algorithm, and then asked for suggested posting times and matching email subject lines. What would normally take a week of planning took about an hour, and we still wrote every word of the actual emails ourselves. AI didn't replace the strategy. It got things rolling for us.
5. Protect your energy for the people only you can serve
Everything above exists to free up time for you to move your business to a higher level. I tell my team there are three kinds of people that deserve their full attention first: the person standing in front of you, the person waiting on a reply, and the person you still need to invite in. Everything else - scheduling, review replies, handbook cleanup, job descriptions, should be optimized so you can spend more of your day on those three. That's the actual definition of running your shop like a CEO. Not doing everything yourself. Knowing exactly which things only you can do.
Inside BOSS, I coach owners doing $600K to $4.5M in bridal retail, and the ones pulling ahead right now are the ones who got serious about automating certain things so the roles in their company that need to be human can become even more human.
If you want to be using AI in your business to make your systems more automated and free up more of your time to work on owner-level strategies, the FULL classes and downloadable on how to do so are inside BOSS.
